(lost) Willesden Boer War memorial - lost

We think a plaque commemorating the Willesden men who served in the South Africa, 1899 - 1900 may have been displayed in this building. However we have never seen the original plaque and fear it has been lost forever.

Normally this page would have an image of the plaque but we don't have one, so here's an extract from that 1935 map, instead.

See Willesden Boer War memorial - Omaha, Nebraska for the story behind this plaque and its replacement.

Built in 1891 the building was demolished in 1972. This image is from London Picture Archive. This 1935 map shows it in Dyne Road, NW6, on the site now occupied by James Stewart House.
